Day 1: Arrive in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by Goway's local representative and assisted with arrival formalities before being transferred to your hotel. Your representative will provide any documentation required for your journey, including domestic flight details where applicable.
The remainder of the day or evening is at leisure to relax and settle in.

Day 2: Full Day Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids & SphinxToday, discover some of Egypt's most extraordinary ancient treasures, beginning at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world's largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization. Explore its impressive galleries and remarkable collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the celebrated treasures of Tutankhamun.
Continue to the Giza Plateau to see the legendary Pyramids of Giza. Marvel at the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World, together with the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Complete your visit at the Great Sphinx, the monumental guardian of the plateau.
Lunch at a local restaurant is included during today's sightseeing. At the end of the tour, return to your hotel.

Day 3: Cairo to Luxor: Karnak & Luxor TemplesToday, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your Nile cruise ship, your home for the next four nights.
After lunch on board, begin your exploration of Luxor on the East Bank of the Nile with visits to the magnificent Karnak and Luxor Temples. Karnak, developed over many centuries, grew to become one of ancient Egypt's largest and most important religious complexes. Continue to Luxor Temple, an impressive monument in the heart of the ancient city of Thebes.
Return to your ship and enjoy the remainder of the evening on board, overnighting in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor West Bank & Sail to EsnaThis morning, explore Luxor's legendary West Bank, beginning with the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of many of ancient Egypt's New Kingdom pharaohs. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, dramatically set against the limestone cliffs, and visit the impressive Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu, renowned for its remarkably preserved reliefs and monumental architecture.
Complete your West Bank sightseeing at the Colossi of Memnon, two towering statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood on the Theban plain for more than 3,000 years.
Return to your ship for lunch and sail toward Esna, enjoying the changing scenery along the Nile. Overnight on board in Esna.

Day 5: Edfu & Kom OmboThis morning, sail to Edfu and visit the remarkably well-preserved Temple of Horus, one of the finest surviving temples of ancient Egypt. Dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus, the temple is known for its monumental gateways, imposing statues and intricate wall reliefs that offer a fascinating glimpse into ancient Egyptian religious life.
Return to your ship and continue sailing along the Nile toward Kom Ombo. Later, visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, dramatically positioned overlooking the river. Unusually, the temple is dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, or Horus the Elder. Its distinctive double design features paired entrances, halls and sanctuaries honoring each god.
Return to your ship for dinner and overnight on board in Kom Ombo.

Day 6: Aswan SightseeingThis morning, discover some of Aswan's highlights, beginning with the impressive High Dam before continuing to the beautiful Temple of Philae. Dedicated primarily to the goddess Isis, the temple complex was carefully relocated to Agilkia Island to protect it from the rising waters created by the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
Later, take to the Nile by motorboat and visit Aswan's Botanical Garden, set on lush Kitchener's Island. Enjoy time exploring its tropical plants and shaded pathways before continuing along the Nile, taking in the scenery of Aswan's islands and riverbanks.
Return to your ship and enjoy your final evening on board, overnighting in Aswan.

Day 7: Aswan to CairoAfter breakfast, disembark your Nile cruise ship and transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be met by Goway's local representative and transferred to your hotel.
The remainder of the day or evening is at leisure.
Alternatively, an optional excursion to Abu Simbel may be arranged prior to your flight to Cairo. Home to the magnificent rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari, Abu Simbel is one of Egypt's most remarkable ancient sites. Please ask your Destination Specialist for details if not already included in your itinerary.

Day 8: Full Day National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Salah El Din Citadel & Khan El-Khalili BazaarBegin with a drive to Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt, where you will see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the ancient Alabaster Sphinx.
Continue to the Saqqara Necropolis, one of Egypt's most important archaeological sites and home to the remarkable Step Pyramid of Djoser, considered the oldest monumental stone structure in Egypt. Your visit also includes the Imhotep Museum, the Pyramids of Unas and Teti, and selected mastaba tombs, offering a fascinating insight into the development of ancient Egyptian burial traditions.
Later, continue to Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of Cairo's most famous and historic marketplaces. Wander through its lively lanes, lined with traditional shops and local crafts, and soak up the atmosphere of this fascinating part of the city.
Lunch at a local restaurant is included during today's sightseeing. At the end of the tour, return to your hotel.

Day 9: Depart from CairoAfter breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to Cairo International Airport for your onward journey.
